Grade 6 tried coding with Python for the first time.  They played CodeCombat.com which is a great way to learn for beginners.  The game is in English but the students were able to understand the instructions and play the game. Click on the picture if you would like to try it yourself!

The students, in Grade 6, also revisited one of their favourites from last years CodeWeek.  Code.org Dance Party. This game can be played in several different languages, including Swedish.  Although the videos are only in English with subtitles. The game guides the students through different levels, with easy to follow instructions.  The end results are both fun and creative. Click on the picture if you would like to try it yourself!

The final activity, for students, in Grade 6,  who didn't have their computer with them.  Was playing the game CodyRoby.  This is a free game available online to  download.  There are different ways to play the game and the students can determine how simple or hard the game will be. I printed four copies of the game and left one with the class so they could continue playing. Click on the picture if you would like to try it yourself!
